1st of the Month...
I have Not worked on the Vag for the last couple of days. It is about the first of the month so we have been real busy Peddling our junk to pay the bills. Hoping to have that takin' care of sometime tomorrow so I can get back to work on the Vag. Things are moving alone with finding the property other the the snow and we are probably going to have to settle for 1 to 3 acres. We want to pay cash or have it Completely paid for in a few months. Our Goal is to be NO DEBT & BILL FREE. Here are a couple of pics of where we are at on the Vag.

Adventure
Good Snowy morning from Idaho.I expected to wake up to a lot more snow then we got but it feels like more to come out there. Miss Kitty painted the front wall in the Vag yesterday while I worked on trim.We are also reclaiming all the barn wood that I used in this place so that has been a job in it's self. Today the plan is to get the shelf above the front window built. I have repaired and restored alot of travel trailers over the years but this ol' Vagabond with the rounded ceiling is a Great Challenge.Very time consuming but I Love every minute of it "I Love a Adventure"

Get'n Closer
I started working on the Vagabond at 8:30 this morning and just finished for the day.I got alot done and she is looking better and better all the time.
Very cold 27 degree morning in Idaho. Fills Like Snow to me.I took the day off from the Vag yesterday to make the journey into Boise uuugggg that place is Nuts! We did some running around peddling our goods and chasing some greenbacks. We some how ended up with a little over two cases of Duck Commander Duck Calls and the crazy thing is No One in southern Idaho could get any Not Cabela's Not Sportsman Warehouse ...NO WHERE!!! And NONE in Eastern Oregon either and WE HAD TWO CASES AT CHRISTMAS TIME!!! WOOHOO!!! I talked to the guy at Cabelas and he said that there order had been on back order for months.Needless to say we are now pretty much sold out now but we knocked'em dead.I just had to share that. Now back to the real world I am headed out now to get to work on the Vag. She should be pretty much trimmed out today.I will try to get some pics on here later today. When we were in boise yesterday we stopped by Harbor Freight to get some solar panels but that place WAS INSANE so we did not even get out of our car. We will wait until after Christmas to get them.

Moving Foward
Good Morning 30 degrees and cloudy in Idaho this morning. I got started on trimming out the Vag yesterday and it is coming along well. Miss Kitty and I keep going round and round about which way the bed is going to face but after 20 something years together I know I might as well frame it up the way she wants cause ya know "IF MAMA AINT HAPPY AINT NOBODY HAPPY"!!! I am going to build the bed frame so that we have cupboard doors and a large storage area under it. Miss Kitty wants to keep her queen size bed so it will pretty much take up the whole back of the trailer but it sure will be comfy...As far as the property here we are selling off pretty much everything we don't really need and it has been going well.Seven of us living together has had its ups and downs but it is a good way to see how it is going to be when we go to the mountain.I have came to the conclusion I don't think KDee Jo and Tim are going to make it Unless they can get there heads out of each others butts.Other then that all is well and things are moving forward.

Getting Closer
Very rainy in Idaho this morning. Had a busy day yesterday! Took care of business and running around until about 3 in the afternoon and then got to work on the Vag. I finished up for the day around 9:30. It is about 90% skinned.I am a little bummed that I could not find matching paneling. But once it is all installed and trimmed out nobody will ever notice. It is getting Very Cozy in there and I can not wait until its done.We are going to go into town and get some of the moldings today.I will get some picture's on here a little later. Here is the Idaho Photo of the Day.

Taking Care of Business
Well I didn't get a lot done on the Vag yesterday. We ended up running around to take care of a Great Opportunity and business deal that will help bring in some more Greenbacks. This morning we have to run into Ontario, Oregon and Weiser, Idaho to take care of some business. So I am hoping to be back around noon and hopefully get the Vag skin done so I can start the finish work.I have been doing a lot of research on the best set up for my solar panels. One thing that I do know is I wont know how much I can depend on the solar panels until we get our property and play with them and the sun.I have one panel that I have had for years and need to test it one of these sunny days to check the output. That is about it for now.Have a Great Day....Here is the Idaho Picture of the day

Lazy Sunday Morning
Beautiful COLD Sunday morning and taking it a little slow today.I woke up at 6:30 pretty much slept in for me.While I was waiting for Sunday Morning to come on I was surfing the net looking at other Off The Grid site's and blogs. A lot of them left me wondering where the hell do they get all the money to do all the awesome things they are doing.I am just a Poor Ol' Idaho Boy with No Residual Income and have to work for my money.I was watching one guy and really digging what he had going on and then he said something about getting a new part for something when his disability check comes in...That was it with that guy!!! We are doing all of this 100% on our own and I sure the Hell Don't Want or Need the Government to Hold My Hand. There is a Ol 'Boy in Texas I have been following for a while John Wells at the Field Lab he is my Hero and seems Like a Great Guy from what I can figure out is he sold his property back east and did real well. So it gave him some financial security Very Cool !!! What we are doing here in Idaho at this time is number one Get the Vagabond Livable and ready to roll and looking for the Mountain Property we want to buy we are hopping to get enough cash together to buy it outright. We have around 7 grand but most of the property we are finding right now is more like 15 to 40 grand. We want at least 5 acres but would really like to have more like 10 to 15 or more.As soon as the Vag is done Miss Kitty and I will move into it right here and start acclimating ourselves to living off the grid again. If we dont have the property by then.We are going to drive up and look at some later today hopefully...It is warming up a little out there so I better get busy putting a load together to get to the auction.

Today we ran in and got some more insulation for the Vagabond so I need to get out there and get to work....Just a little history and introduction to the Family...We are all Going to the Mountain Together and there is 8 of us working towards Git-n-R Done...First there is Miss Kitty & I (Ma & Pa) then there is Ol' Red (Like a Brother to me and Uncle Red to the Kids) He is a Truck Driver and is going to be a partner on the Property...Then we have our second oldest daughter Karra and her boyfriend Sim then there is our youngest daughter KDee Jo and her boyfriend Tim and last but not least we have our son Kevy D...At this time Everyone but Red is Living here in the pursuit of staying together and becoming completely Self Reliant. We live at this time as simple a self sufficient as we can this close in.We are about 25 miles from Boise Idaho. We have roughly 30 chickens and usually have a couple of hogs.Oh and we cant forget our two Goats Nic & Nac.
So from here on out I am going to try to post a day by day where we are at in our Pursuit of getting to the mountains.First thing is to get the Vagabond livable. I paid 200 dollars for this Old Girl its alot of work but she is going to make a Beautiful Home. Here are a couple of pics from when I got her and how she is coming together.I just about 3 days ago really got started on putting her back together.
